On May 22, West Oak Lane Charter School (WOLCS) will host its Annual Scholarship Fundraiser at Belmont Mansion. This event celebrates and seeks to deepen partnerships that enable our school to create exceptional learning experiences for WOLCS Alumni. This WOLCS fundraiser will bring together a diverse constituent group including community leaders, affiliated universities, board members, corporate and foundation sponsors, and other close friends.
This year, we will also honor the legacy of Sharmain Matlock-Turner, WOLCS Co-Founder and Board Chair. For 20 years, she has selflessly given of her time, talent and treasure to WOLCS. Sharmain's unwavering commitment to cultivating our students through academic enrichment, technology and innovation has positioned our school as a leader in education, for which she is more than deserving of this honor. Join us in celebrating the woman who has strengthened our foundation and propelled us to unimaginable heights.
